conda commands

conda list -n py3k

list all the packages installed in the env py3k

conda update conda

then ‘conda update anaconda’ to update the meta package

or ‘conda update -n py3k anaconda’

conda create -n py3k python=3.3 anaconda

name of environment is ‘py3k’. ‘anaconda’ is the meta-package that includes all the actual Python packages comprising the Anaconda distribution.

‘source activate py3k’ to activate the environment.

conda search expression

This will list all the packages that I am looking for. An asterisk is placed beside the package name that is already installed on the system.
